Program for Malnourished Children

The impact of Nourishment Programs

It was observed that many children in the community were malnourished due to insufficient food and nutrition. Hence, their average growth was way below the national average
After a thorough examination by expert pediatricians, a total of 173 malnourished children were identified.
These 173 children receive an additional 300 to 500 calories of nutrient-dense food every day.
The children are provided with nutritious foods daily, such as cereals, milk, bananas, and sweets made with jaggery, ghee, and grains.
These children are called to school everyday where they are served with special meal everyday. This way the food is not wasted.
The height and weight of each child are measured every three months, and the data is plotted on a graph and compared to national averages.
